Differences between version 8 and 7 of »TrackBack«
- TrackBack is a specification (started by [http://www.movabletype.org/ MT weblog]),
- that allows notification of linked sites (automatic backlinks).
- Because ewiki now supports PingBack (which does basically the same), and
- TrackBack is a bit weird in that it uses it's own XML messages mixed with
- RSS, RDF-XML, URL profiles, and typically requires human intervention (the
- often seen "enter TrackBack URL here") we probably won't implement it.
- If someone was interested in implementing TrackBack a good place to start would be the ["spec"http://www.sixapart.com/pronet/docs/trackback_spec].
