Hint: You can easily convert from an installed PmWiki to ErfurtWiki/PhpWiki using the database conversion utility.

WebInstaller

The new WebInstaller helps to ease the installation of a Wiki. It is working, but not on sf.net servers (once more).

SourceForge's installation of PHP is outdated and the FTP extension was absent. While there's now a script-only emulation for this, the sf.net web server is also firewalled to not let anything dial out to a remote FTP port. Therefore it will be impossible to provide this service via the SourceForge demo site.

The current (June 2005) working installer is under http://ewiki.berlios.de/installer/

mario: Glad to hear. The WebInstaller however hasn't yet been updated to take advantage of the new PluginMetaData files, so it won't install any of the new extensions and plugins. Updated version will be available in the next weeks (after R1.02b release).

Works nicely if you take the options which are default. Test with flat file database worked.

The presented layouts are of course also available for separate download under http://ewiki.berlios.de/installer/layout/.
