Time stamp

Andy: I'd like to add a in-text date/time stamp markup. This markup would be the system time that the edit was submitted and normal text after that, how does &now; fetch you? I understand InterWiki:PukiWiki has that and also a &new; which shows the date and a little icon if the date is reccent.

milky: It fetches me (= sounds damn cool). However I have no idea what it should do, nor how it could be implemented?!

UseMod or *OddMuse has a feature where you put "[new:UserName]" somehwere in the page to mark the next post in a discussing. I think it switches background colors from post to post and inserts *UserPortraits, but the date stamp I usually see on CommunityWiki: (ooops, not on our InterMap?) is hand edited.

Andy: I have a timestamp plugin for &now pending as an 'edit_save' hook. &new would be an 'edit_save' hook to replace &new with [new:DDMMYY] which a markup plugin to convert this to the date or date with icon.

Andy: Released it :-) Sorry about the delay.
