PhpWiki: is the most widely used PHP-based *WikiEngine. It is more object-oriented than ErfurtWiki, and follows different goals (site=wiki, where ewiki integrates). There are however many similarities, the markup and MpiPlugins syntax are pretty much the same, and even the ewiki database scheme was modelled after PhpWiki initially.
Therefore it should be possible to switch between both (in whatever direction).
