To newbies,
I am writing on how to create a new wiki page with ErfurtWiki. Newbies like me get confused not seeing a link like "Create new page" instead of only "Edit this page"
In order to create a new page, called "YourNewWikiPage". Do the following:
- First read CreatePages.
- Make up a new WikiWord which will serve as the title for your page. Remember when typing your new topic, you have to use two or more words with upper and lower case letters, something like "YourNewWikiPage".
- Find a page you want your new page to link from.
- Click on the "Edit This Page" button.
- In the editing box, insert your new WikiWord in a logical place somewhere in the text.
- Click preview.
- You will see a ?(question mark) or * (asterisk) by the new topic just created. Click it.
- Another edit box will appear, in which you can type whatever you want to appear (like this text) under your topic. To give an aesthetic look, use WikiMarkup.
- Before editing your new page don't forget to save the page you just edited.
- Preview and Save your new page.
Presto! YourNewWikiPage is there. In this case, it is HowToCreateNewWikiPageForNewbies
