milky: Mailing list or no mailing list? Because the sf.net webserver is rather slow, if accessed from within europe I'd also prefer a mailing list for communication purposes. However there are some disadvantages:
- sf.net probably uses RBL - which would render the ML service completely useless, at least for me --> external ML provider
- the wiki site could miss some useful informations, which however we could workaround easily by reincluding the mailing list archive onto a (plugin) page
For what it is worth, I vote nay on the mailing list. -- Jonnay
milky: The sf.net is unuseable (RBL IP blocking); but I still believe it could enhance development at some points, even if mailing lists are (most always) annoying.
milky: Sep-2003 - we now have a MailingList - with the archiving function this is much more interesting than the hundreds of private support emails I wrote over time. (We will extract some useful discussions into the Wiki from time to time.)
